Based in Montreal, our team has searched the globe for designer bags that have been kept in excellent or near perfect condition by fashion conscious women just like you. Our passion: discovering luxurious finds and offering them without the huge designer price tags, and we think we do a pretty good job. If you are looking for the perfect handbag, we hope you find it here. Or, if you are ready to part with some of the bags in your closet, we would love to work with you.
From us to you,
Whenever people ask me why I have started an online business, I laughingly tell them I developed a serious case of late onset entrepreneurialism. After long and fulfilling careers in government and communications, followed by staying at home to raise my children, my passion and appreciation for beautiful things, including designer handbags, collided with my practicality and Love that Bag was born. I love the idea of luxury for less and making these beautiful designer handbags accessible to a greater number of fashion conscious women. When I’m not sourcing new handbags, you can find me watching The Crown, enjoying my morning cup of coffee and newspapers, and walking with my personal trainer, Max, my dog.
Growing up in Montreal, I’ve always experienced fashion much like I do air. Pulling inspiration from the people, the architecture and the vibrancy of the city, my passion took shape at a very early age. I went on to fetch dual marketing degrees from McGill University and Parsons School of Design as I carved my niche in the business side of the fashion industry. After several years of working in trend forecasting and providing marketing direction for startups, I join the Love that Bag team to facilitate a wonderful second life for all of our beautiful bags. When I’m not connecting you to your new favorite accessory, I can be found dabbling in clothing design or putting digital pen to paper for online publications; Fashion & Mash, No Hangers Barred and Spill Magazine.
As a first generation Canadian, all my summers growing up were spent exploring Italy. These adventures ignited my true passion for luxury, fashion and beauty. Naturally, I decided to turn my love for fashion into my lifelong career. After studying abroad in Paris and spending several years working as a Stylist for the chic women of Florence, I developed a keen eye for all things pretty. When I’m not on the lookout for luxury items to add to my own wardrobe, I’m searching for gems to add to yours. Off-duty, you can find me at the dog park with my Frenchie Stella, doing yoga, sipping on a giant soy latte, or taking an impromptu trip.
Having been with Love that Bag from the very beginning, I’ve learned more than a few tricks of the trade. Coming on as the photographer and growing into the operations role, I’ve been able to merge my business brain with my artist’s heart to facilitate a seamless bag buying process. Having photographed every beautiful bag that’s past through the Love that Bag doors, you can consider me your first line of defense in making sure you’re getting what you want! On my off hours, you’ll find me engaging in my passion projects – photography and music. I can be spotted behind the lens or up on stage, singing and playing guitar with my band.
Having started my fashion blog in my preteen years, I’ve pretty much grown up learning about trends, brands, designs and creative directors. Now, as a student in Communications and Cultural Studies, I continue to feed my passion for fashion and media everyday. My work at Love that Bag is to facilitate your shopping experience by providing you an accurate description of our preloved designer bags. When I’m not writing about beautiful bags, you can find me at an art exhibition, having tea with my friends, or reading in the sun.
As Love that Bag’s graphic designer, I assist the team in making everything look good from the biweekly mailers to the website banners. Before Love that Bag, my experience was mostly in the corporate world with a strong background in video design and motion graphics. Since starting my work with the LTB team, I’ve found my passion in working with smaller businesses where every graphic feels like an accomplished collaboration. When I’m not at my computer designing or editing, you can find me knitting, cooking or spending time with my hubby and our two children in our country home on the South Shore of Montreal.
